Meetings in Spanish

Meeting Spanish becomes practical when you can schedule a time, follow an agenda, share an idea, ask for an opinion, agree or disagree politely, and move through a short presentation.

Your next small win: schedule a meeting, discuss an agenda item, give your opinion, respond to someone else's idea, and use a few simple presentation phrases.

Find a time that works

Scheduling a Meeting

Use programar for scheduling and ¿Qué tal...? for suggesting a time.

¿Podemos programar una reunión para mañana?
Can we schedule a meeting for tomorrow?
¿A qué hora te viene bien?
What time works for you?
¿Qué tal a las diez?
How about ten?
Perfecto. Nos vemos a las diez.
Perfect. See you at ten.
¿A qué hora empieza la reunión?
What time does the meeting start?
¿Cuándo es la próxima reunión?
When is the next meeting?

Scheduling for tomorrow

A
¿Podemos programar una reunión para mañana?
Can we schedule a meeting for tomorrow?
B
Claro. ¿A qué hora te viene bien?
Sure. What time works for you?
A
¿Qué tal a las diez?
How about ten?

Ideas, Opinions, and Agreement

Use these phrases to contribute an idea, ask someone what they think, and respond politely.

Me gustaría sugerir otra idea.
I would like to suggest another idea.
¿Qué opinas de esta idea?
What do you think about this idea?
Estoy de acuerdo contigo.
I agree with you.
Creo que es una buena idea.
I think it's a good idea.
No estoy completamente de acuerdo.
I don't completely agree.
Entiendo tu opinión, pero no estoy de acuerdo.
I understand your opinion, but I don't agree.

Useful contrast: Estoy de acuerdo expresses agreement. Adding no creates disagreement, and phrases such as no completamente can soften the response.

Discussing an idea

A
Me gustaría sugerir otra idea.
I would like to suggest another idea.
B
Claro. ¿Cuál es tu idea?
Sure. What is your idea?
A
Creo que debemos cambiar el plan.

B

I agree. I think it's a good idea.

Give and respond to an opinion

Suggest another idea, ask what someone thinks, and say that you agree.
